Terms of service

1. About Haul N Hull

Haul N Hull ("we", "us") is an independent service based on the Gold Coast, Queensland. We pass quote requests from boat owners to marine trade businesses. We don't do any marine work ourselves, and we aren't part of, or acting for, any boatyard or marina.

Any agreement for work is between the boat owner and the trade. The trade quotes, does the work, and invoices the owner directly.

2. For boat owners

• Requesting quotes is free, and you don't have to accept any quote.
• Please give accurate details. We send your request to up to 3 trades for each job you choose.
• We don't guarantee that a trade will quote, when the work can be done, or the quality of the work. Check that a trade has the licences and insurance your job needs before you hire them.
• Each boatyard sets its own rules for who can haul out, such as insurance. You book your haul-out directly with the yard.
• Requests from owners who say they're only researching may not be sent to trades.

3. For marine trades

• Free period: no charge for the first 30 days after you join.
• Price: after that, $25 for each quote request we send you. We are not registered for GST, so no GST is added.
• Cap: for your first 3 months after the free period, you pay no more than $150 a month in total.
• Sharing: each request goes to no more than 3 businesses in the same trade.
• Invoices: we invoice monthly for the requests sent the month before. Invoices are payable within 14 days, by card or bank transfer through our payment provider, Stripe.
• Free requests: a request isn't charged if you tell us within 7 days of receiving it that the contact details were wrong, the owner couldn't be reached after 2 attempts, it was a duplicate, or the boat or job wasn't as described. See our refund policy.
• Fees are for requests, not jobs: the fee applies whether or not you win the work.
• Your responsibilities: you hold the licences and insurance your work requires, respond to requests promptly, deal with owners directly, and only use owners' details to quote and do the requested work.
• Cancelling: you can stop receiving requests at any time by emailing us. Requests already sent remain payable.
• Summer package: package prices and terms are agreed separately in writing.

4. Changes to prices and terms

We may update these terms. We'll email registered trades at least 14 days before any price change takes effect.

5. Liability

We're not responsible for work done by trades, for quotes or prices they give, or for payments between owners and trades. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded.

7. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.
